Season 1 was premiered on 9-26-1982 and the opening episode of the season was ‘Knight of the Phoenix’. The season introduced the viewers with independent crime fighter Michael Knight; Devon Miles, Michael’s bad-tempered boss; and KITT, a high-performance sports car with computerized artificial intelligence. Michael has devoted his life to preventing innocent people in the best possible manner he could. Bonnie Barstow, an attractive auto mechanic who assists Knight and KITT. During the season first, Michael is shot and is recreated by a billionaire, Wilton Knight. Season moves around Michael and KITT as they follow a gang of bike thugs, protect a political candidate from assassins and rescue a female reporter. Knight Rider finished up its first season on 5-6-1983 with the episode ‘Short Notice’.
