Well, KITT is also known as Knight Industries Two Thousand/Knight Industries Three Thousand. It’s basically a character of the show equipped with an artificial intelligence electronic computer. The latest version of KITT is a 2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR Mustang and has innumerous features such as a newly designed attack mode and also advanced transformation capabilities.
KITT used in the previous versions of Knight Rider was technologically inferior to the one which they introduced in Knight Rider (2008 TV series). Nano-Technology was applied which gave it the ability to change colors and to morph into several car forms momentarily. Yeah, a new mode known as ‘Attack Mode’ was also installed which gave it the ability to increase its speed and to make use of its gadgets at the extreme point. The car had only two seats. The feature to function in submerged configuration made it capable to maintain life support and system integrity while underwater. It also had its own weapons such as a grappling hook located in the front bumper and missile launchers usable only in attack mode. During the run of Knight Rider production, KITT went through several changes and almost lost its originality. All the changers were made to make KITT more powerful and tricky. So, it was all about KITT, the basis of Knight Rider.
Now, let’s have tittle-tattle about the Knight Rider TV show. The latest production didn’t do as well as anticipated. It ran for season 1 only and the show was cancelled. The decision was not appreciated by the fans of Knight Rider and campaigns were also launched to make them alter their decisions, but it seems that the latest version of Knight Rider won’t return.
